EPZ kent twee Jaarprijzen Palliatieve Zorg die uitgereikt worden tijdens het jaarlijkse Amsterdam Symposium Palliatieve Zorg. De Jaarprijs Palliatieve Zorg Onderzoek is voor het beste Nederlandse wetenschappelijke artikel op het gebied van palliatieve zorg en levenseindezorg. De Jaarprijs Palliatieve Zorg Impact is voor het product of instrument dat naar de mening van de jury de grootste potentie heeft om de kwaliteit van palliatieve zorg te verbeteren.

De drie genomineerden voor de Jaarprijs Impact 2024 zijn (in willekeurige volgorde):

• Training: Signaleren en verkennen wat de patiënt bezighoudt als basis voor proactieve palliatieve zorgplanning (SVP)(Radboud UMC)
• Peper voor de PaTz (Stichting PaTz)
• Sterven en rouwen op de intensive care (STRIC) (Erasmus MC en Hogeschool Rotterdam)

De drie genomineerden voor de Jaarprijs Onderzoek 2024 zijn (in willekeurige volgorde):

• Identifying, exploring and integrating the spiritual dimension in proactive care planning: A mixed methods evaluation of a communication training intervention for multidisciplinary palliative care teams. Jacqueline van Meurs et.al. 
• Randomized controlled study of pain education in patients receiving radiotherapy for painful bone metastases. Jenske I. Geerling et.al.
• Trajectories of health‐related quality of life and symptom burden in patients with advanced cancer towards the end of life: Longitudinal results from the eQuiPe study. Moyke A. J. Versluis et.al.
